Small Spaces

I'm finally getting around to finishing decorating my room, it's been a slow process due to how busy I've been, but lately in my spare time I find it relaxing to just sit on my bed, look around and see what ideas come up and then do them. This is just a small peak, a little more work needs to be done before I do an official room tour on my blog, but I'm happy with how it's coming along. I like to be in spaces that inspire me, whether it's at home or elsewhere...I feel better in a creative space, or at least less restless. Anyway, time indoors means I get to enjoy my summer clothes just a little bit longer ;)

All my dreams, my dear, they are of you.

Unfortunately I've been pretty sick with the flu these past couple of days. So whenever I find the energy to get out of bed...it's not to go very far. Luckily there are the loveliest gardens and parks around making it possible for me to get the fresh air I so badly need without having to stray too far from my bed. Now, allow me to introduce to you my new favorite autumn addition: THIS stunning vintage coat from FrontRowShop . Everything about is pretty well perfect, the color ( I believe I've recently dedicated a whole post to my obsession with green) the fit, and the warmth! It is well lined and protects me well against the cool wind. I paired it with a flower crown that I made, I am slowly opening a shop for them (along with other handmade items), you can see what's up so far here . And one of my favorite dresses from Urban Outfitters. I love that, although this coat is of a unique color, I can still manage to match it with most of the items in my closet. Front Row Shop is killing it with thier fall/winter coats, here are a few more of my favorites:

Pale & Paisly

I've been so drawn to paisly prints lately...I'm so disapointed in how diffucult it is to find! This dress is a treasure though, the print and color are both so unique, I have nothing close to it in my closet. I paired it with my favorite autumn hat (mostly because it's green) and a bright red lip as a nice color contrast. Sometimes it's fun to be bright in the fall ^.^

eyelash lace

There is something about white lace that I aways find iresistable...no matter how many pieces I aquire, I always fall in love with the next one I see. This eyelash lace slip from Urban Outfitters was certainly no exception. I've been wearing it non-stop, finding it one of the funnest pieces to play with, it can be layered and worn in so many ways! I couldn't resist pairing it with this cozy orange cardigan from UO as well. The colors compliment eachother greatly, and it is a perfect match for fall! Over the past weekend I went home to spend Thanksgiving with my family. It was really lovely having the whole family together (we're quite a large family, so it only happens a couple of times a year), eat some amazing food and enjoy the autumn weather! Not to mention, it is a time in which we reflect and count our blessings, which we have so many. It can be so easy to forget, when we're caught up in life, how beautiful the world is, and how much we really have to be thankful for. Every year it's always the same thing that stands out to me--the lovely people I have in my life...it is always what I'm most thankful for.

cookie monster sweater

Any coffee addicts in the house? It's actually quite odd that I haven't mention my own coffee addiction on here, however, if you are following me on instagram, then I am sure you are acutely aware...So naturally when I saw this tote bag and it's simple inspirational quote: "you can do it" -coffee.  It practically jumped into my hands, along with the coziest sweater ever (yes I am aware it resembles the cookie monster, it was the base of its appeal for me). Both items are from forever21, and I paired these items with this hat and gorgeous eyelash slip from Urban Outfitters. 

It is thankgiving weekend here in Canada and I am home spending it with family and enjoying the time off! We rarely get the whole family in one place yet somehow managed it this weekend and it's been great. I hope you're all enjoying the weekend!

autumn layers

I've recently touched on my love for layers, and fall fashion and general...but when you really think about it. The fashion world completely opens up in autumn, in that, the styling possibilities become endless. Mixing and Matching, layering to no end, one outfit can have three different looks throughout the day simply by removing a scarf, adding a cardigan or sweater, or taking one off....the list goes on. Lately I've been playng dress-up in my closet, layering my favorite autumn pieces in every different way I can think of.
Other than that, I've been even busier than usual, starting a couple of new projects that will be shared soon!
