Checks & Specs

This will be a quick post, as I have alot of catching up to do! I've been pretty busy and loving it...to the point where if I find I have free time, I decide to take up a new project or adventure. Also, I've been shamelessly wearing this skirt too much....
Hope your October is as great as mine so far ^.^

precious moments

Here are a few of my favorite captured moments as of late. Summer is coming to an end, but I'm completely fine with that, seeing how autumn is my absolute favorite season. However, I have had some great adventures this summer to look back on. My first summer in Ottawa, and I know next year will only be better!

O N E YEAR ANNIVERSARY

It's my blog's one year aniversary ^.^ What started out as something fun to pass the time has truly transformed into a passion of mine. Somehow over time my blog grew a life of its own, and I'm pretty proud with how far its come. I still have alot of plans for it, mainly to expand its content a little, once I have a bit more free time! In the meantime you can expect more exciting collaborations with some great unique shops, ottawa adventures and a few more giveaways ^.^
Thanks to everyone who follows this blog, or visits every once in a while, it's really appreciated and has given me the chance to meet some great people, and business partners, so THANK YOU SO MUCH EVERYONE!

Precious Moments

I thought it was about time for another precious moments post, as my computer is over-flowing with photos. Since moving here, every day is an adventure (and I carry my camera to capture some favorite moments or sights). I've been exploring museums, abandoned buildings, woods and the city streets! Some of these I will be posting about more in depth, but here are just a few of some favorite moments I've had so far ^.^

what, oh, what does the future hold?

As a recent graduate (as well as someone with a lot of free time on their hands), I can't help but think often about my future. Where am I going? Where do I want to go? Am I taking the right steps to get there? I've always been goal oriented, growing up I was always sure of what I wanted and how my life was going to be. As you might have guessed, a lot has changed since then (including my major), and I'm finding myself in a completely different life scenario than I ever imagined. Yet I still wonder, what will I be doing at this time next year? Or five years from now? Life has become so unexpected for me, and to my surprise I'm loving every minute of it. I have no idea where I will be in five years, I have my passions and I will continue to pursue them to the very best of my abilities...but I also think it's important to remember that things don't always go as planned, and most of the time it's because you will end up in an even better place than you've imagined. Sometimes I need to remember to breathe and let things take their natural course, you know? I find my peace in nature...even in a city, where there is less than I am used to, Gavin and I have found small woods and large fields, tons of beautiful parks and are even finding beauty in the city streets among the planted gardens and old stone buildings^.^ It's truly been special living here so far.
I hope everyone is enjoying thier spring season!

precious moments

Well, Spring is officially here to stay (finally). When I'm not packing like a maniac or having outdoor adventures with Kayla and Gavin, I've been taking time for myself to get back into sketching as well as reading the literature I love. If I go too long without taking the time to do these things, I start to feel unlike myself, which is not fun. And so I suppose this post is serving as a little reminder to you all to take the time needed to do what you love. These are the things that give us inspiration in our daily lives to keep us going when it gets too rough or even just too busy.
Also, I move in 2 DAYS!!!!! How exciting, I hope your week is lovely and full of sunshine ^.^
