Restless Days

I've been feeling beyond restless lately...feeling as though there's so much to do (regular life things as well as getting-ready-for-baby things) and I'm at a point where I'm powerless to make things happen at a quicker pace. Not only that, but the more pregnant I become, the less I have to do to disctract myself as my options are closing in. Today I think I'm going to power clean and make a To-Do list for the near and distant future, that should occupy me for almost a day -.- I know everyone says "enjoy the peace and quiet now because you'll never get it back once baby is here" but I actually can't wait for that. I thrive in high-demand environments and love being busy/needed...at least when Forest is here I'll have a non-sleeping partner in crime ;)
Let's hope this third trimester flies by!

Shades of Red

I find myself wearing alot of red (or shades of it) recently...and I can't quite put my finger on why. Perhaps it's the contrast it brings in every setting. I'm also fancying alot of bows again, I used to wear them pretty much every day in high school...they were to me then what hats are to me now I guess. I'm also upset that I can't seem to find my glasses anywhere!!!! fingers crossed they turn up soon!

What rhymes with orange?

This is one of the few orange (kind of) pieces I own. I absolutely adore the color, especially burnt oranges in clothing, but for some reason I've failed to collect any for myself. I bought this pinafore from forever21 last year, and haven't worn it since last october! Some pieces are just meant for specific seasons I guess. I'm also one of those people who has trouble rotating my clothes, and end up wearing the same items over and over again and forget about half the things I own! And let's face it, we're all a little more likely to gravitate towards orange in october more than any other month. Perhaps we love it so much because we so rarely see the color outside of this month, so it keeps it special and almost nostalgic. Whatever the reason, I shall enjoy it while I can...orange leaves, pumpkins and pumkin flavored treats...I love it all!

Woodland Euphoria

Autumn is currently in its prime, the colors are vibrant and breathtaking, the air is comfortably cool and the sky resembles something from a horror movie. We've literally had rain every day for two weeks now, and I'm loving it.There's something I find comforting about autumn weather, I'm outdoors more this time of year than I am in the summer!
I'm looking forward to this week, I start my new job, my secret project is coming along, and hopefully I can fit one or two forest adentures in there! It's a funny thing, I always get comments on the way I'm dressed outdoors (I rarely wear pants, I've just always prefered dresses and skirts) and somehow, becuase of this, they think I hate the outdoors, or that I don't belong. Truthfully, I don't care about "getting my dress dirty", what are clothes for if not to live in them? Self expression of course, but how can we express ourselves properly if we let the things we wear limit our activities? Or our activities limit the way we want to dress? Why CAN'T we have it all? I've literally hiked and climbed mountains in my dresses and tights, it's honestly no harder and certainly no more uncomfortable (at least for me, as I am one of "those" who actually find pants too confining and uncomfortable) than wearing pants or shorts. Dresses are great because of how decieving they are...they give the appearance of effort, meanwhile it takes much less to simply throw on one piece of clothing which allows for full body/leg movement. I guess the point I'm trying to make is, not to make assumptions of people based on they choose to look while they live thier own lives. We're all different and comfortable in different environments, clothes, etc. Okay, rant over, Happy Monday everyone, I hope you all have a lovely week ^.^

cookie monster sweater

Any coffee addicts in the house? It's actually quite odd that I haven't mention my own coffee addiction on here, however, if you are following me on instagram, then I am sure you are acutely aware...So naturally when I saw this tote bag and it's simple inspirational quote: "you can do it" -coffee.  It practically jumped into my hands, along with the coziest sweater ever (yes I am aware it resembles the cookie monster, it was the base of its appeal for me). Both items are from forever21, and I paired these items with this hat and gorgeous eyelash slip from Urban Outfitters
It is thankgiving weekend here in Canada and I am home spending it with family and enjoying the time off! We rarely get the whole family in one place yet somehow managed it this weekend and it's been great. I hope you're all enjoying the weekend!

Checks & Specs

This will be a quick post, as I have alot of catching up to do! I've been pretty busy and loving it...to the point where if I find I have free time, I decide to take up a new project or adventure. Also, I've been shamelessly wearing this skirt too much....
Hope your October is as great as mine so far ^.^
