Hey guys! I've recently been given the opportunity to help run the Northgate instagram account to hlep connect and showcase the goods you can find in the Shopping center, whether it's gift ideas, life's seasonal necessities (it is Canada) or a reason to treat yourself, I'm hoping to help be a guide and maybe even a source of inspiration for anyone who enjoys my style of photography and personal style. So if you're interested in following or supporting me in this new venture, don't be afraid to follow the ACCOUNT

A Very Green Winter
We had our very first Green Christmas this year, which was a little disapointing, however, my closet was certainly happy. Prolonged layer weather means less time bundled up under a stuffy coat and more time to play around with different pieces! I love how well this slip from UO and dress by Free People work together! "Layer Weather" suits my style and creativity most because it allows for
the most options! Getting creative while keeping warm makes getting
dressed fun and gives my wardrobe more use than any other time of year. I
always start with basics: tights with socks and boots. Then I begin
layering, for example here I have an eyelash lace slip from Urban Outfitters
underneath a floral dress by Free People. To keep the wind at bay, I
added mix-matched plaid with this red plaid jacket and plaid infitity
scarf and a hat for good measure! Layering allows for the mixing of
different patterns and textures that make for more lively outfits !

Autumn Florals
That time of year is surely on its way...the sky is cloudier, the air crisper, the ground cooler. Even the plants have begun thier change of seasons, and I couldn't be more thrilled. I love autumn and everything that comes with it, especially the fashion. Who isn't a fan of cozy sweaters, fun layers and of course, autumn florals (which are arguably better than spring florals). I love the earthy tones of this dress, it is quite possibly my favourite autumn outfit this season. This dress is shapeless and well lined, perfect for keeping me warm against the cool wind. I can't wait to see what other fall styles come to life this season!

Gypsy Heart
It's such a beautiful time of year...the "in-between" seasons is always great, especially the transition into autumn. The air is becoming crisper, leaves are readying to change before thier fall, it all means my favorite time of year is on its way. This autumn will be the most special because it is my first one with Forest. Before that happens though, I'm getting all the wear I can out of my summer wardrobe (now that I can fit into everything in my closet again) as well as new pieces such as this gypsy dress from Dresslink. Give me any flowy dress with an interesting pattern and I'm the happiest girl in the world!

Darling, you belong among the wildflowers
I'm in love with minimalist pieces these days...I think they are so lovely and fresh and perfect for summer months. This simple yet beautiful dress from Dresslink is one of my favourite simple pieces for this summer. I couldn't resist wearing it to frolock through this gorgeous flower field (which I'm sure you will be seeig alot of on here) right near my house!

Flower Child
On days I know I won't be leaving the house (which never happened before, but as a new mom, it's a given) I usually wear a slip or just a house coat (easy items to nurse with), and don't bother too much with my appearance. But then there are days, even when you know you will be home all day, cleaning, finishing the move and taking care of your baby, you still want to look and feel good. So I will sometimes throw a pretty kimono over a slip (this gorgeous slip is from SHEIN), add a flower crown and minimal makeup and ta-da, instant home-fairy status. These dress up days have become important to me as I've been struggling with self-love more than ever before. The post-baby bod isn't my fav, and I still have a couple of weeks of healing to do before I can do any sort of exorcise...so anything to make me feel a little better about myself is entirely welcome!

Crochet Obsessed
I've been slowly aquiring as many summer crochet pieces as possible. This one from wholesalebuying is one of my favorites. I have a white bralet underneath for now, though regularily I would wear a nude bralet to match. I also paired it with my favorite kimono and gypsy skirt for a larger mix of prints and textures. It's definitely one of my favorite summer looks so far!

Summer Starts
It finally feels like summer can start. Not only is the weather consistantly hot these days, but I am now well enough to adventure around and also blog again! I am thoroughly enjoying speding time outdoors again, especially with Forest as my personal side-kick. We haven't gone a great distance away from home yet (Besides a visit to Nana and Papa's) but we are discovering the trails and scenery that surrounds us in this home new to both Forest and myself. It's always exciting to walk new paths for the first time and I hope Forest, Gavin and I will be ale to do this as much as possible this season.

Breathing in Lilacs
This last week my belly seems to have "popped" even more! I am almost at 34 weeks now, and so as you can imagine, my closet/style choices is becoming very limitted ( as I can only use things that stretch enough to comfortably cover this belly of mine) I was so happy when I recieved my dress from Walktrendy and chose to style it a little differently to better suit my current body. I love how it can double as a sort of kimono and when buttoned up the sweetest floral dress! Versatile pieces like this are what makes fashion so fun!
Things are incresingly becoming busier and busier, but that only means alot of new things coming to this blog!
