HAPPY CANADA DAY TO ALL MY CANADIAN READERS, and to anyone who loves Canada I guess. What a beautiful country we live in, what a blessing it is to be Canadian! The weather is calling for rain, but that won't stop me from celebrating to the fullest. I hope you all have a wonderful day and get to see some fantastic fire works! Early gifts

Well it's Monday and I am so excited to be starting a new week considering how crazy busy last week was. One good (maybe a little bad) thing about last week, however, was that Gavin and I sort of gave in and handed each other a few early Christmas presents. I am absolutely in love with these items; especially the hat, it's my dream hat and from forever21. These were taken after I wrote my final exam and explored the trails behind campus one last time as I won't be returning for almost a month. By the end of the week I will be in my home town and I'm so excited! My presents are wrapped and I am pretty much ready to go. All that's left to do is work a couple of shifts and pack a suitcase ^.^

I'm writing this post in a very happy mood because I've just written my final exam for the semester; which means (other than work) I am free to relax and enjoy the holidays ^.^  lately all I can seem to wear are holiday clothes; which means a lot of red, green, plaid and cozy sweaters. I plan on using my free time this week to do absolutely nothing but drink tea and prepare gifts as in a week I will be home and traveling very frequently throughout the rest of the holiday season. I'm not complaining though, I absolutely love it and can't wait!

adventure time

The snow has arrived and I couldn't be happier! It just makes everything look so magical and festive. The other day although it was snowing, it was still quite mild and so I took advantage of the warm snowy weather by exploring the trails behind my campus in my favorite sweater. I literally wear this sweater any chance I get, it's super comfortable, but because it's very holiday themed, I only have a limited amount of time to wear it, so I try to as much as possible! Well, December is just around the corner and that means more adventures to come. I can't wait ^.^

calm before the storm

 Not that you can tell from these photos (as they were taken before the snow arrived) but the outdoors are completely white ^.^ I am beyond excited, snow just makes it feel like the holidays are closer and closer! These photos were taken the day before the snow storm hit, so it wasn't very cold; I was fine in a skirt and sweater. My obsession with pinafores/suspenders continues; I literally have to stop myself from wearing this skirt every day, it's ridiculous. Anyway, I have a busy week ahead of me and am hoping for some snow adventures that I can post about. Have a good week :)

I'm so disappointed that immediately after these photos were taken, it started to snow! I just can't wait to go on snowy adventures and capture every minute of it on camera. It ends up looking like narnia down here and I'm so impatient for it. Anyway, I haven't been keeping up very well as it is coming to the end of my semester and I have a ton of projects and such to take care of, Although December
 will be busy, I plan to document the entire month as much as I can on here. I have a feeling it's going to be my favorite holiday season to date! Well, I hope you're all having a good week; happy monday and stay warm ^.^

winter is coming

It's been cold lately, and I've woken up to a few frosted mornings already which makes me incredibly excited for the snow to finally arrive. In the mean-time, I'm enjoying the sweater weather and layering all my clothes while going on crisp autumn walks.
