After the storm

 

 

Something I do not own a lot of: Maxi dresses. Not because I don't think they are nice, but because I'm not the tallest and maxi dresses can sometimes look odd on me, as they are too long. I decided to take a chance with this one, and I'm glad I did. It's definitely not too long, it has slits at the bottom reaching up to the thigh, which I love, as well as cut out spots on the sides and in the back. It's the perfect summer maxi dress (too bad it isn't summer yet). Anyway, I hope your Monday is going well, have a good week!

What a lovely winter we are having this spring...

 

 

 

 

 

 

These were taken the day before the first day of spring. (please take note of the snow up to my hips -.-) In fact, since this day, we've been having pretty steady snow fall and cold weather. I'm doing my best to stay positive and remind myself that warm weather is coming! In the meantime, I am going to take full advantage of my new favorite cardigan! It's not the thickest or warmest but it's definitely comfortable and adorable! I love the fringe and heathered gray color, it matches a good deal of my wardrobe, which is helpful! Anyway, I've been busy packing and working and finishing school, only one month left until I'm done with all of those. I'm beyond excited ^.^ I hope your week is going well so far!

precious moments

My original plan for these was to have one "precious moments" post at least once a month, and I completely dropped the ball on that one. I will be doing my best to get back into it...I really think it's important (especially during the winter months) to take the time to appreciate the little things. Small moments of peace and happiness are important to reflect on and remember, especially on bad days. Taking these photos helps remind me of the joy or peace I felt on a certain day or at a certain moment. I bring my camera everywhere (if not, then my phone); collecting memories is important to me and such a joy to look upon afterwards!

dustland fairy tale

Slowly you can see me wearing my spring/summer clothes now. I've just had it with the cold and winter, I need flowers and green trees and sun on my skin! In protest of winter, I've been wearing flower crowns, and airy spring dresses! This one from Asos is just the cutest festival dress; light, comfortable and the sleeves give that boho touch that is perfect for an outdoor festival! If only it were summer and I was heading to one. Oh well, my time will come. 

Life's busier and busier, starting to pack for the move now. It can't come any sooner!

With the snow, it's one step forward and two steps back. We were having such beautiful weather! On the day these were taken, I was completely comfortable without my coat. The sun was shining and I was sure the snow was on its way out. Sadly I was mistaken as last night we were hit with a pretty major snow storm. Oh well, oh well, Spring will come eventually. In the mean time, I'm loving this warm, long-sleeved dress. The minute I got it, I knew I wanted to wear this on a train! Sounds weird, but it just seems like the perfect travelling dress. It's adorable and super comfortable!

stripes and suspenders

This week has been wonderfully relaxing and wonderfully sunny! Spring is getting closer and closer and I could not be more excited. The first day I am able to leave my house without a coat will be the happiest day in a while ^.^ In the mean time, I have been packing, readying myself for the move. In two short (hopefully) months I will be starting a new life in the city; I can't wait for all the adventures that are waiting for me there...not to mention the fact that we will be in the middle of spring and the weather will be wonderful ^.^
