Autumn Chills

 Sweater weather has arrived, and I couldn't be more thrilled. Exploring new places with the cool autumn wind and a coffee in hand is perfection. As some of you have probably noticed...I'm prone to jewlery as of late. Hoever, most of the jewlery I'm wearing has been thrifted or passed down, except for my gorgeous watch from DanielWellington (by the way, shop there anywhere from now until september 30th you can get 15% off using the Code: curios-doll  at the checkout). I honestly don't even take it off, it gows with everything and ads an extra charm to my outfits . You'll have noticed that even when I'm wandering through fields and forests, I'm still in a dress or skirt. For me, it is more comfortable. I loathe wearing pants, so even on expeditions, I stick to my typical feminine style, which doesn't slow me down or inconvinience me in the least. Looks can be so decieving that way...a dress gives the illusion I tried really hard to look nice that morning, when in reality I like them because it's one piece of clothing, and nothing sticks to your legs (except tights which are like a second skin to me). For this advanture I paired two of my favorite fall items from last year. The colors reflect the coming season well, and the knits kept me warm through my adventures.

Autumn WIsh List

One of the very best things about autumn is the fashion. Who doesn't like being swaddled and cozyily surrounded by knits? I am currently obsessed with Urban Outfitters new fall pieces (most of the items demonstrated above are items currently available here). I wanted to show what my specific autumn essentials are: 

1. gray wool hat (As I've yet to require a gray hat and this color is perfect)
2. black loafer: while I'm typically all about boots and booties during the fall, I also love the look of a loafer paired with fall colored tights and dresses.
3.go-to knitted sweater: a self-explanatory must.
4.a collection of over the knee socks (one can never have too many)
5. Plaid. Plaid anything. Plaid anywhere.
Not to mention anything forest green, burgundy or burnt orange *

How is everyone's September going so far? Over here the weather has been great, lots of sun but we're begining to feel like crisp autumn breeze which I love. I've re-aranged my closet, put away things only appropriate for thw hot summer months and brought out my sweaters/jackets, etc. I may be jumping the gun slightly, but I can't help it, my love for this season takes over everything! This day was particularily fun, Gavin and I had discovered some really cool new areas and plan on going back to get some shots in, as on this day it began to rain so my camera stayed in gavin's backpack for the remainder of our walk. But we have monday off so here's hoping another adventure back that way happens!

precious moments

Here are a few of my favorite captured moments as of late. Summer is coming to an end, but I'm completely fine with that, seeing how autumn is my absolute favorite season. However, I have had some great adventures this summer to look back on. My first summer in Ottawa, and I know next year will only be better!
